apparently..in early times, people who didn't know how to write signed their name with an X and a kiss to show their sincerity, but the Jewish immigrants would sign with an O instead so as not to discriminate against god.. slightly irrelevant but its interesting..
Or.. simply, an X represents the shape of pouting lips and O the shape arms make around a person..
